US FlagUS/Washington: Interstate Meat Dist. Inc., a Clackamas, Oregon establishment, recalls an estimated 28,356 pounds of Albertsons, Kroger, Walmart and WinCo branded Ground Beef products from the American marketplace due to suspected Escherichia coli O157:H7 ("E.coli" O157:H7) contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The United States Department of Agriculture ("USDA") reports the following Ground Beef products were produced on December 20, 2022 and are subject to this recall (in alphabetical order):

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Albertsons, Kroger, Walmart & WinCo branded Ground Beef products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in retail locations in the US states of Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

Logo - KrogerAccording to the USDA, the Ground Beef products subject to recall bear establishment number "EST. 965" inside the USDA mark of inspection or printed next to the time stamp and use or freeze by date.

Interstate Meat Dist. has recalled an estimated 28,356 pounds of Albertsons, Kroger, Walmart and WinCo branded Ground Beef products from the American marketplace due to suspected Escherichia coli O157:H7 ("E.coli" O157:H7) contamination. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Ground Beef identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can't access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Ground Beef products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Escherichia coli.
